Frontdoors TV: Phoenix Suns Charities and Philanthropy Playmakers

Frontdoors TV is a ten minute show about exceptional leadership, community connections and charities that make a massive impact.
On this episode, we highlight three leaders who are changing the community for the better.

Jacqueline Allen is Past President and Founding member of Central Arizona Dental Society Foundation. They host the Arizona Mission of Mercy event at the Arizona State Fairgrounds. Volunteers at the event do about $2 million in dentistry over two days and see about 2,000 patients – many who have been in pain for years but haven’t gotten treatment.

Robert Sarver is Managing Partner of the Phoenix Suns and leads the efforts at Phoenix Suns Charities. To date, Suns Charities have donated more than $21 million to various worthy causes, with a strong focus on children and families in Arizona.

Sarver has personally donated more than a million dollars to Children’s Museum of Phoenix and Neighborhood Ministries and he’s led the efforts to help transform Central High School in Phoenix by implementing after school tutoring and Kaplan Test Prep. Since Sarver and Suns Charities started supporting the school 7 years ago, test scores have skyrocketed.

For Sarver, this is a personal mission. He was raised by parents who grew up poor and both put heavy emphasis on education and giving back. His mother was a teacher and, until she passed away in recent years, was a heavy influence in Sarver’s life.

Also on this episode of Frontdoors TV, we get insight into the incredible philanthropic efforts of Rob and Melanie Walton.
